At Precision Armory, we prioritize safety above all else. As one of the leading indoor shooting ranges in Las Vegas, we understand the importance of fostering a culture of responsibility and respect among our patrons. Whether you’re a seasoned shooter or a newcomer to the world of firearms, understanding range etiquette and proper firearm handling is crucial for a safe and enjoyable experience.

1. Safety Begins with You

Before even stepping foot onto the range, it’s essential to familiarize yourself with basic firearm safety rules. Always treat every firearm as if it were loaded, keep your finger off the trigger until you’re ready to shoot, and never point the muzzle at anything you’re not willing to destroy. By internalizing these fundamental principles, you lay the groundwork for a safe and responsible shooting experience.

2. Listen to Range Staff

Our knowledgeable and experienced range staff are here to ensure your safety and provide guidance as needed. Before entering the shooting lanes, take the time to listen to any instructions or rules provided by our staff. They are there to answer any questions you may have, offer assistance with firearm handling, and enforce range rules to maintain a safe environment for all.

3. Always Wear Protective Gear

Protective gear, such as eye and ear protection, is non-negotiable when on the firing range. Flying brass and loud gunfire can pose risks to your vision and hearing, so it’s essential to wear proper safety equipment at all times. If you don’t have your own gear, we provide it for your convenience.

4. Know and Follow Range Rules

Every shooting range has its own set of rules and regulations designed to keep everyone safe. Before entering the range, familiarize yourself with our specific range rules, including guidelines on handling firearms, proper shooting techniques, and emergency procedures. Adhering to these rules not only ensures your safety but also contributes to a positive experience for all patrons.

5. Be Mindful of Others

Respect for fellow shooters is paramount on the range. Always be mindful of your surroundings and courteous to others sharing the lanes. Avoid unnecessary distractions, refrain from disturbing neighboring shooters, and never handle someone else’s firearm without their explicit permission.

6. Practice Good Firearm Handling

Proper firearm handling is essential for safety on the range. Keep your firearm pointed downrange at all times, maintain a firm grip, and never attempt to modify or tamper with a firearm while on the firing line. If you encounter any issues or malfunctions with your firearm, notify our range staff immediately for assistance.

7. No Steel Core Ammunition Allowed

For the safety of all patrons, steel core ammunition is strictly prohibited on our premises. Steel core ammunition poses a heightened risk of ricochets and damage to range equipment, so we enforce a policy of only allowing approved types of ammunition. Please ensure that any ammunition you bring to the range is compliant with this policy to help maintain a safe environment for everyone.

8. Clean Up After Yourself

After your shooting session, take the time to clean up your area and properly dispose of any trash or spent casings. Leaving the range clean and organized ensures a pleasant experience for the next group of shooters and demonstrates your commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful environment.

At Precision Armory, safety is not just a priority—it’s a commitment. By adhering to proper range etiquette and firearm handling practices, you contribute to a culture of safety and responsibility that benefits everyone. Whether you’re a seasoned marksman or a first-time shooter, we’re here to help you enjoy a safe and enjoyable shooting experience.
