FFL Transfer Guide & Policy

At Precision Armory, we strive to make the FFL transfer process smooth, fast, and compliant with all federal, state, and local firearm laws so you may legally own a firearm. Please follow the steps and policies below for a successful transfer.

Step-by-Step Guide for Incoming Transfers

01

Complete Your Purchase & Provide Transfer Details

  • Once you purchase a firearm online, have the selling FFL dealer email us at FFL@Parmory.com with the following:
    • A copy of their FFL license.
    • Your full name, phone number, and email address.
    • A copy of the invoice or sales receipt, showing whether sales tax was collected.

*Important*: We only accept transfers from licensed FFL dealers. Any firearm received from a non-licensee will be refused or incur a $100 fee. This includes CCR License and Curious & Relics FFL.

Not Accepted:

    • Curious & Relics FFL
    • Private Party Transfers from other FFL’s to be transferred in.

02

We Send Our FFL & Your Seller Ships the Firearm

  • Once we verify the seller’s FFL information, we will send them our FFL license.
  • The seller can then legally ship your firearm to our store.

03

Wait for Our Call – Do Not Call or Visit Prematurely

  • Tracking updates do NOT mean your firearm is ready. We must follow ATF procedures before releasing a firearm.
  • We will contact you within 48 hours of processing the firearm to notify you when it’s ready for pickup.

04

Background Check & Transfer Fees

  • When you arrive, you must complete a background check (NICS) unless you hold a valid Nevada CCW permit (which MAY qualify for an exemption).
  • The FFL transfer fee of $25 is due upon submission of the background check.

Transfer Fees:

  • Standard Firearm: $50 per firearm
  • Class 3 / NFA Items: $100 per item
  • Private Party Transfer: $75 per firearm
  • Transfers from Non-Licensees: $100 additional fee
  • If your background check is delayed, you must wait for NICS approval before taking possession of the firearm.
  • If your background check is denied, you are still responsible for the transfer fee and must arrange for the firearm’s return at your own expense.

05

Pick Up Your Firearm Promptly

  • You have 7 days from the notification date to pick up your firearm.
  • Firearms left beyond this period will incur a $5 per day storage fee.
  • Firearms left over 30 days without communication will be considered abandoned and become store property without compensation.

Additional Store Policies

  • Non-U.S. Citizens: Must provide all required immigration documents at the time of transfer.
  • Closing Times: Arrive at least 15 minutes before closing to complete your paperwork.
  • Straw Purchases: Any suspected straw purchase will be reported to law enforcement.
  • Firearm Condition: We are not responsible for firearm condition—inspect your firearm before completing the transfer.

Background Checks & Requirements

  • All firearm transfers require a background check (NICS) unless the recipient holds a valid Nevada CCW permit, which MAY qualify for an exemption.
  • If the background check results in a delay, we must wait for further instructions from NICS before proceeding with the transfer.
  • If the background check results in a denial, the firearm must be returned to the sender at the customer’s expense. Failure to do so will result in the firearm being considered Abandoned Property after 30 Days.

What Is a Federal Firearms License (FFL)?

Federal law requires that firearms purchased online be transferred through a licensed FFL dealer. As a licensed FFL holder, we ensure legal compliance by verifying buyer eligibility, processing background checks, and maintaining ATF-mandated records.

By choosing Precision Armory you receive fast, professional, and legally compliant service for all your firearm transfers.
